This monument overlooks the plain of the Saône, the Dombes and the vineyards. Climb the hill of Mont Brouilly by two routes, suitable for all levels, and pass through little-known places in the region.

Surprising and unique walks The Pierres Dorées villages

These villages are known for the particular color of their yellow stone. Over the course of the day, this stone, made of limestone, is tinted with iron oxide and takes on this golden color. Walk through the alleys of these villages classified among the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”: Ternand, Châtillon d'Azergues and Charnay. The architecture of Macôn bears witness to a rich history, with different influences. The “Tracé de la Plume” is a route, lasting about two hours, which will take you through the most beautiful monuments of the city.
